London Exhibition | Monet and London 🎨

🌟The Courtauld Gallery is hosting a special exhibition, “Monet and London,” from September 27, 2024, to January 19, 2025. It features 21 paintings by Monet depicting the Thames River in London under various weather conditions. The main locations are Waterloo Bridge, Charing Cross Bridge, and the Houses of Parliament. 🌟The special exhibition is located on the third floor, not very large, and can be explored in about 30-40 minutes. There’s a QR code entrance, and they provide a brochure with explanations for easy reading, as well as a large print version for those with visual impairments. Very considerate! 🌟Monet’s use of color and composition is so pleasing to the eye. The reflection of the sunset on the water glistens under the sunlight, and when the fog is heavy, the bridge itself is almost invisible, creating a scene with very soft tones. (I’ve never seen London with such thick fog, I’d love to see it!) Seeing “Waterloo Bridge, Effect of Sunlight in the Fog” suddenly made me appreciate the color scheme of a new bag release: smog blue + orange. The haze and sunlight create a unique chemical reaction. 🌟I’ve visited this gallery several times, and apart from the special exhibition, it hasn’t changed much, just some rearrangement of the paintings (my favorite ballet painting is gone). After visiting, you must check out the shop downstairs for souvenirs. Overall, this exhibition is definitely worth it. Ticket booking is available on the official website, and adult tickets are quite expensive. I really miss the student days when we could see exhibitions for free or at a low price. Friends studying or traveling in the UK, don’t miss out! #LondonExhibition #LondonExhibitionGuide #LondonExhibitionDiary #LondonMonetExhibition #MonetLondonBridge #MonetLondonParliament #LondonMonet #CourtauldGallery #MonetAndLondon #Courtauld
