London Exploration | Hidden Gem in the Alley 🌟

💛 On the day we were heading to the Queen's Theatre to watch Les Misérables, a friend took me to try some nearby Malaysian cuisine, including our favorite Cai Tou Kue (radish cake), which made us, as Teochew people, ecstatic! It truly lived up to our expectations, it was so delicious! 😋 Afterward, we strolled leisurely to the opera, which was incredibly pleasant. 😌 🍜 We ordered the Seafood and Pork Kuay Teow soup, which was full of Teochew flavor. The soup was incredibly sweet and fresh, with very fresh shrimp, tasty fish cakes, and super bouncy fish balls. It had the taste of Teochew street-style Kuay Teow soup. Although we added Shanghai bok choy instead of the typical Teochew lettuce, it went surprisingly well together. We also ordered Cai Tou Kue (radish cake), stir-fried with Chinese chives, bean sprouts, and preserved radish, which was a delightful surprise! It was slightly sweet, but it didn't affect the taste at all! I asked the boss for chili sauce, and dipping the radish cake in it was especially delicious! Another highlight was the milk tea! 🧋 The moment you take a sip, it's a rich taste of Hong Kong-style milk tea, so good to drink, it takes you back to Guangdong in an instant. 🥹🥹 You must order it!! 💰 The cost per person was £23, but because we were so excited, we ordered too much and couldn't finish it all, so we took the leftovers home. If you order normally, it would be less. #London #LondonLife #LondonFood #LondonFoodExploration #LondonFoodSpotting #LondonFoodieGuide #LondonFoodAdventure #LondonExplore #LondonExploreShare #LondonRestaurantExploration #LondonFoodSpottingCheckin
