London One-Day Weekend Trip | Design Museum & Holland Park

Let me recommend a great spot for a one-day weekend trip in London! South Kensington’s Design Museum and Holland Park ⛲️ 🚇 South Kensington High Street Design Museum 🎫 Free 🆓!! There are free general exhibitions, as well as paid ones. Currently, there’s a Barbie exhibition! Outside, there’s a beautiful and large souvenir shop, but the souvenirs inside are just so-so. Right next to it is Holland Park ⛲️ 🎫 Free 🆓 I absolutely adore this park! It’s built around Holland House, established in the Elizabethan era of the 17th century, making it several hundred years old! It used to be the home and garden of a royal knight, was bombed during WWII, was repaired in the early 20th century, and now it’s been converted into a public leisure area! The park also has an outdoor performance theater 🎭, tennis courts, a cafe, gardens, and a giant chess set ♟️ - haha, it’s super cute 😆 Half of it is quite man-made, and the other half retains a more natural vibe. 🌳 Many locals from South Ken come to walk their dogs 🐶! There are also lots of families with kids 👶 resting and relaxing, taking a stroll 🚶, running 🏃‍♂️, playing football ⚽️, sunbathing, and reading books 📖! It’s incredibly comfortable and relaxing! There’s also a Kyoto Garden, which is quite meaningful, giving you a little taste of Japan. 🍽️ Afterward, we went to a Turkish restaurant nearby, which had a nice environment and decent food. 📍 Megan’s on the High Street Restaurant (Kensington) 204 Kensington High St, London W8 7RG Average cost: £20-30 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 The ambiance score is higher than the food score, lol.
