London’s Portuguese Cuisine Heaven - Caravela
You must try this Portuguese restaurant on Battersea High Street; it’s even better than A Toca near Vauxhall. It’s an excellent choice for friend gatherings and taking parents out, mainly because it’s only a 10-minute walk from my house. 🦞 The seafood rice comes with half a lobster. The lobster itself isn’t much, but the soup rice is super fresh. It’s more astonishing than the other place and has won over my picky mom’s approval. 🌶️ The gambas peri peri is actually a bit spicy, and the shrimp is super fresh and succulent. The sauce on bread is simply divine. 🥢 The grilled beef skewer is streets ahead of the other place. Though smaller, the meat is very tender and highly recommended. 🦑 The grilled squid was a bit of a letdown last time. I found the taste to be average, and it’s not as good value as the other dishes. 🐚 The clams are an excellent appetizer and go very well with a small drink. 🍷 The red wine chorizo is unexpectedly delicious, with a soft texture and a smoky flavor at the end, but my mom doesn’t like it. #DateNightRestaurant #RestaurantRecommendations #HiddenGemRestaurant #AtmosphericRestaurant #GlobalFoodSquad #Cuisine #LondonFood #FoodDiary #UKFoodCheckIn #LondonPortugueseRestaurant
