London Soho | Low-Key Italian Dining at Bocca di Lupo
For our pre-holiday sister gathering, we picked an Italian spot that I had saved at some point. I usually donโt opt for Italian when eating out because homemade pasta is great with good ingredients, so my standards for dining out are high. We were a group of six and ordered quite a bit. ๐ Amberjack carpaccio - Iโm a big fan of raw fish; it was fresh, light, and not fishy. Another dish, whose name I canโt remember, seemed like a cold version of Ratatouille with aubergine, tomato, and onion - the classic Western trio. It was delicious. ๐ฆ The seasonal menuโs roasted duck looked very appealing, with a crispy skin and tender meat, paired with grilled purple grapes. Yum! ๐ Baked seafood pasta and Italian dumplings were packed with fresh ingredients and tasted amazing. Itโs rare to find such high-quality pasta. ๐ท The grilled pork chop, sage-roasted pumpkin, and winter salad were all well-cooked and delicious. The salad looked ordinary but was refreshingly tasty. The dessert was average (you know, the sweet tooth of foreigners), so itโs optional. Overall, Bocca di Lupo is a high-quality Italian restaurant with a nice environment, perfect for gatherings. Iโd definitely come back. Oh, and itโs the same owner as the famous ice cream shop Gelupo across the street. The ice cream in the restaurant comes from there. After dining, you can also pop into SWIFT in Soho for a drink. Very happy, especially as the New Year is approaching. Wishing everyone joy every day! ๐ #NewYearOutForADrink #HiddenGemsInLondon #LondonSoho #LondonItalianCuisineRecommendations #HiddenMenu
