Leeds Graduates ๐Ÿ’• In contrast, friends from London universities rarely stay in touch after graduation... This time, we gathered at a restaurant recommended by a friend. The ambiance is fantastic! It retains the vibe of a Thai snack shop while being clean and comfortable. Thereโ€™s even a bar + pool table upstairs ๐ŸŽฑ, making it the perfect spot for a get-together with friends! ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ **Tom Yam Mama:** ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ This dish is packed with seafood, huge chunks of crispy roast pork, and lots of cilantro ๐ŸŒฟ (let the waiter know if youโ€™re not a fan). Itโ€™s served on top of Mama-brand instant noodles ๐Ÿœ with a fried egg ๐Ÿฅš on top. The flavor is a unique blend of Korean army stew and Tom Yum soup ๐Ÿคฃ, but the creaminess balances the sourness, making it spicy and super appetizing! **Minced Beef with Holy Basil:** ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ A classic Thai dish of minced beef stir-fried with holy basil, topped with a fried egg. Itโ€™s really good ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป, but itโ€™s quite salty and spicy ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ. Make sure to pair it with a bowl of white rice to cut the saltiness! **Beef Tongue & Tendon:** ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ This curry is so unique! The beef tongue and tendon are thick and tender, melting in your mouth. The meat is soaked in the rich, flavorful curry sauce. Highly recommended! **Stir-fried Morning Glory:** ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Classic garlic stir-fried water spinach. Itโ€™s nothing groundbreaking, but itโ€™s always one of my favorites. **Pineapple Pie with Taro Ice Cream:** ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ I absolutely love this dessert! For some reason, it reminds me of McDonaldโ€™s in my home country. The pastry crust is identical to McDonaldโ€™s pineapple pie, filled with chunks of pineapple ๐Ÿ and topped with a scoop of taro ice cream ๐Ÿ’œ. The sweet and tangy combination is just perfect! ๐Ÿ’ฏ The restaurantโ€™s style reminds me of that Thai restaurant on the second floor of Tottenham Court Road, similar to Thai Tapas. Since each dish is small, the three of us ordered four dishes, two bowls of rice, and a dessert, and it was just right!
