Long Island Must-Visit Belgian Seafood Restaurant

Bread served before the meal is quite hard, but it pairs well with the mussels pot broth. 🐂 Bone Marrow Found under the appetizer category, I didn't expect such a large portion! The problem is that it's quite tasteless and greasy. This was one of the dishes recommended by the waiter, but I personally wouldn't recommend it. The best bone marrow I've had so far is from Alpen Rose in Philadelphia—it's amazing! $23 🦞 Homard Mussel Pot For two people, one pot is more than enough—it's very filling. The first bite is simply amazing! The mussels are good, though a few had a bit of sand, which makes them slightly inferior to those at Vincent's Clam Bar, but still very nice.👍🏻 The lobster portion is generous, and you can stuff the bread with lobster meat to make your own lobster roll. The accompanying fries are also very fragrant and remain crispy even after the meal is finished. $59 🍹 Pear Martini A small glass, but highly recommended. The refreshing pear flavor pairs perfectly with the mussels pot! $18 🍝 Fra Diavolo: Black squid ink pasta. This was a pleasant surprise. It's the first time I've had pasta where you find seafood in the pasta rather than the other way around, haha. The taste is a bit spicy but very delicious. $36 for a portion that's so large, with plenty of seafood. For someone with a normal appetite, this could easily be two meals. 🍲 Waterzooi: The restaurant's namesake seafood combo, with a visibly large portion. It includes a lobster. This dish is very tasty and fresh, my favorite of the meal. You can even drink the broth afterward, which tastes a bit like clam chowder. This Belgian restaurant is highly recommended. If you're in Long Island, don't miss it! The ambiance is great, perfect for dates or birthdays. #DocumentingFoodOnMyJourney #FindingFlavorsInSmallTowns #Locals'FavoriteEats #ShoutingOutLocalDelights
