Los Angeles | Riverside County | Orange Picking π
Early March, with bright sunshine and clear skies, the vast orange groves in Riverside County cast a soft glowβperfect for taking photos and enjoying the outdoors. π During the past winter in Southern California, we experienced the wildfires in January. I still remember the colorful fallen leaves, persuaded by the wind, which made us feel the long yet warm winter. π₯ Now, in early March, my friends and I have emerged from the winter blues to bask in the sun and document our lives: We caught the tail end of the Southern California orange-picking season. Last weekend, we visited an orange grove in Riverside π and had a blast picking oranges. Many of my friends asked where we picked the oranges and expressed their desire to go. Below is the address, but I'm not sure if it will be open this weekend. It's best to π± contact the farm managers, Julian or Lucy, in advance to avoid disappointment. Their oranges are quite sweet, with a slight tang in some, and they are very juicyβjust one bite releases a burst of flavor! π π Tip from a friend: When picking oranges, choose those with smoother skin or those on the outer branches of the tree. These fruits get more sunlight through photosynthesis. Also, avoid picking fruits that are too high, as they may not receive enough nutrients and water. π πππ California is famous for its oranges. Years ago, they were transported to other states via the Union Pacific Railroad. Today, this railway, located north of Fullerton, has become a piece of history. π π° Price: $15 per bag (approximately 25-30 pounds). It's said that the proceeds are donated to local churches or charities. π #IrvineLife #Riverside #CaliforniaLiving #SoCalOutdoors #SoCalActivities #SoCalSocial #IrvineSocial #LosAngelesLife #LosAngelesSocial #LosAngelesActivities
