Once a small, humble spot on the sketchy Sahara Street where people would brave long lines and questionable surroundings for amazing Thai food… Now transformed into a tourist trap money-making machine. Has the original matriarch lost her touch? Has greed clouded her judgment? Or has time simply dulled her taste buds?😁😍 We may never know — but our taste buds know this: In just a few years, the food has gone from delicious → average → straight-up bad.😊💕 Yet business booms — tourists from all over flock here, lining up to hand over their dollars, completely fooled by the fading legacy. A true disgrace to Vegas' food scene, giving the city a reputation for scamming tourists and out-of-towners. Summary: Not good. A disgrace to Las Vegas. Pros: ✅ The restaurant is now bigger, better decorated, in a safer location — feels like a proper establishment. ✅ Some curry flavors are still passable. ✅ Opens for lunch — easier to book. Cons: 🦆 Duck is gamey and rubbery — used to be decent, with crispy, flavorful skin paired with Thai curry and unique yellow noodles. Now it’s often served lukewarm, with strong off-flavors and tough skin. Likely cutting corners for speed and profit. 🍤 The famous garlic prawns are still mediocre — honestly, they were never that great. Similar to versions at other spots — unless the shrimp are perfectly fresh and cooked, it’s just an oily, overhyped dish. Most people take photos, then their smiles fade after the first bite. 🍝 Pad Thai & Pad See Ew are poorly executed — as a Thai restaurant, failing at these basics is unacceptable.
