Tried to balance both activities... *partially failed* but no regrets! 😆 🌴 Lyon Arboretum This UH-managed public garden is a tropical rainforest paradise ! Strongly recommend Scott’s tour (Airbnb) —he’s *thrilled* about his Xiaohongshu fame! 🎉 His mission: share Hawaii’s natural beauty post-retirement. We took the longest trail (4.5 hrs) —he talked NONSTOP with infectious passion! Why go? ✔ Rare plants + rainforest history 🌱📜 ✔ Wild, muddy paths (wear waterproof shoes ! 👟) ✔ Bug spray + stamina required—NOT a casual photo spot! 🚫📸 💐 Lei Workshop by Gina Ballesteros (@eco.mindful.lei) • 2-hour session (I was 1hr late post-hike 😅). • Set under shaded trees near Kaimana Beach —ocean views! 🌊✨ • Met a mom weaving for her baby, a birthday girl (@一只朱迪), and friends—all crafting with love. 💖 Magical Moment: Watching surfers ride waves as we braided nature’s gifts... pure harmony between people and island. 🌺🏝️ #LyonArboretum #LeiMaking #OahuMagic
