Madame Ngo – A Fusion of French and Vietnamese Phở

Our brief trip to Berlin has come to an end, and during these days, our group has once again visited some must-eat spots in Berlin each time we come. ☺ Berlin has a plethora of Vietnamese cuisine options, and when it comes to Vietnamese food, Madame Ngo is a name that can’t be overlooked. This Michelin-recommended restaurant was founded by the renowned chef The Duc Ngo, and it specializes in French-Vietnamese style cuisine. The name “Brasserie Hanoi” hints at its inspiration – the Hanoi restaurants from the French colonial period. ⭐️ Highlight Features Madame Ngo is famous for its Phở bò (Vietnamese beef noodle soup). Using their own richly brewed broth (which you can see in the window display), they infuse French elements to add layers of flavor to the traditional Vietnamese taste. Additionally, the restaurant’s French decor blended with Vietnamese street style creates an elegant yet cozy environment. 🍽 We ordered eight dishes this time, and the following two received unanimous praise from us! ✅ Les Trois Cochons – Three types of pork belly (roasted, stewed, and boiled), offering a rich texture and a multi-layered taste experience. It doesn’t feel greasy, and even those who are not fond of fatty meat will love it! ✅ Phở bò Madame Ngo – The signature beef noodle soup, with choices of steak, brisket, and beef balls, the meat is tender, and the broth is rich and worth a try. It doesn’t leave you thirsty after eating, an authentic Vietnamese flavor that our editor, who has been to Vietnam multiple times, deems the best Vietnamese phở in Germany👍 👨‍🍳 About Chef The Duc Ngo The Duc Ngo is a legendary figure in Berlin’s culinary scene, having opened his first Japanese restaurant Kuchi in Berlin in 1999. Today, his culinary empire spans various styles, including: 🍣 893 Ryōtei – A high-end Japanese restaurant hidden behind a graffiti wall 🥢 Kuchi – Classic Japanese cuisine 🍛 Cocolo Ramen – A well-known ramen shop in Berlin 🥩 The Golden Phoenix – A high-end restaurant combining French and Chinese flavors If you’re in Berlin and want to experience a culinary journey of French-Vietnamese fusion, Madame Ngo is definitely worth a try! #EuropeanTravel #HiddenGemRestaurant #RestaurantRecommendation #BerlinTravel #BerlinCharter #BerlinVietnameseCuisine #BerlinTravel #BerlinCuisine
