Made it to New Orleans this year! ๐
Day 1 & 2 ๐น French Quarter, Jackson Square โ The French Quarter is filled with bars and jazz music everywhere ๐ท๐ธ. The iconic fleur-de-lis symbol โ๏ธ, French-style balconies on buildingsโฆ everything tells the story of this cityโs history. If Las Vegas is about glamorous indulgence, the French Quarter feels like poetic, dreamy decadence. Itโs said that during Hurricane Katrina, most of the city was flooded, but the French Quarter miraculously survived. ๐ Faulkner House Books โ This is where William Faulkner wrote his first novel, Soldiers' Pay, in 1925. A quiet spot full of literary charm ๐โจ. ๐น Sazerac House Cocktail Museum โ The Sazerac is one of Americaโs oldest cocktails, mainly made with whiskey. Strong stuff โ one sip goes straight to your head! ๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ณ Oak Alley Plantation โ Filming location for Gone with the Wind. Those grand oak trees are absolutely breathtaking ๐ฟ๐๏ธ. ๐ฅฏ Beignets โ Those fried pastries covered in powdered sugar are high in calories but seriously delicious ๐. Perfect with a Cafรฉ Au Lait! Day 3 & 4 ๐๏ธ The National WWII Museum โ Worth spending half a day here. It presents WWII from multiple perspectives โ truly a well-curated museum. ๐ข Riverwalk โ A lovely stroll along the Mississippi River ๐๐ถโโ๏ธ. ๐ฟ City Park โ Relax with a drink, soak up the sun, and watch kids play around the massive oak trees โ๏ธ๐ณ. ๐ฏโโ๏ธ Caught the Thanksgiving parade โ Mostly performances by local school bands, full of community spirit ๐ฅ๐บ. The only regret this trip: couldnโt hit the bars for jazz at night since I had my little one with me. Hope to make up for it next time ๐ถ๐น. #NewOrleans #NOLATravelGuide #TravelMoments #ExploreMore #TravelDiary #TravelSnaps ๐๐ธ
