Madrid Georgian 🇬🇪 Restaurant Review: Kinza
Weekend check-in at a long-saved Georgian restaurant, Kinza. 🥢 It's a good idea to call ahead for a reservation before you go – the phone number and address are at the bottom!❗❗❗ We were drawn by the restaurant's famous bread boat and giant dumplings. P1 + P2: Signature Cheese Bread Boat (Adjaruli) 🧀 Cheese lovers rejoice! When it's served, there's a yolk in the middle that the waiter mixes in quickly. You can ask to do it yourself! We recommend taking the first bite from the center cheese and then pairing it with the bread around the edges. Otherwise, it might get a bit too rich at the end. P3: White Sauce Chicken Salad (Ensalada de Pollo) 🥗 Beware, cilantro haters! This dish features pomegranate seeds, bell peppers, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and cilantro. The dressing is very fresh. Although it has a white sauce, it's not heavy at all – definitely worth a try! P4 + P5: Georgian Dumplings (Salmón Khinkali) We chose the salmon 🐟 filling this time, but there are also options for meat, vegetables, and mushrooms. You can pick based on your preferences. A serving has six dumplings, which is plenty for someone with a smaller appetite. The waiter explains how to eat them and provides a dumpling-shaped container with black pepper. The dumpling skin is slightly salty, which balances the filling perfectly. P6: Classic Beef Stew (Megrli Kharcho) We went with the classic beef option. The spices are more pronounced than in regular curry or beef stew, but it's still very enjoyable. It comes with a small bowl of sticky rice that has a slight cheese flavor. Mixing it with the beef creates a unique taste! P9: The final bill came to 77.9 euros for two people. 💶 Overall, the portions aren't huge, but if you have a smaller appetite, we suggest choosing either the dumplings or the bread boat. If you're in the city center on a weekend and looking for something different, this place is worth a try. The restaurant's name is Kinza, and there are two locations in Madrid – don't get them mixed up!
