Maine’s Lobster Hub
We rolled into Bar Harbor around 7 PM, and our first stop? Galyn's—we were already craving lobster! 🦞 Sadly, lobster season was over, so the lobsters weren’t as big as they are in peak season. But that didn’t stop this spot from being busy—this old restaurant, open since 1998, was totally packed with diners. You could tell it’s a local favorite with that cozy, “been-around-for-years” vibe 🏮. We ordered the classic boiled lobster, served with butter for dipping and a side of rice. The whole plate cost $37—totally reasonable for fresh Maine lobster, even off-season. The lobster meat was still sweet and tender; dipping it in warm butter made every bite feel like a treat. We also added crab cakes to the order—crispy on the outside, packed with lump crab meat inside, no filler. So good! 😋 All in all, our family of three ate for just over $100 (tax included)—a solid deal for a satisfying seafood meal in Bar Harbor. Perfect way to end a day of road-tripping through Maine! 🚗 #USA #USATravel #RoadTrip
