Maine’s Summer Is So Cozy 🫐 2-Day Delicious & Leisurely Itinerary 🦞

We chased the tail end of summer on the East Coast and headed to the long-awaited Maine coast with Beibei—it was absolutely beautiful! We ate delicious sea urchin, big lobsters, blueberry soda, and ice cream—total satisfaction! Day 1️⃣ New York ✈️ Portland (About 1.5 Hours) 🐟 ISF Trading: We rushed over right before it closed at 4 PM and bought salted sea urchin and a sashimi platter. We also picked up seaweed and instant rice to make hand rolls ourselves. The texture was fresh and sweet—no extra seasoning needed to make it delicious. Highly recommended! 🛍️ Commercial Street: The small shops here are great for browsing—we picked up some cute little souvenirs and trinkets. 🍨 Gelato Fiasco: Their lobster gelato sounds unusual (salty flavor!), but it was surprisingly delicious—super creamy and rich. Day 2️⃣ Rent a Car 🚗 (2 Hours to Acadia) 🍩 Morning Must-Stops: Before hitting the road, we checked out Holy Donut and Tandem Coffee Bakery. Holy Donut’s potato-based donuts are extra fluffy—my favorite was the maple bacon one 🥓 (salty-sweet perfection, with super crispy bacon bits!). Tandem Coffee: Definitely order ahead—otherwise, you’ll face a long line! The coffee is on the tart side, but their savory pepper jam biscuit is incredible and totally worth it. The scone is extra soft, and the pepper jam pairs perfectly with cream cheese. 🛍️ Patagonia Outlet: We stopped at the famous Patagonia Outlet along the way and bought a baby blue lightweight down jacket—the price was great, though you do have to dig around a bit to find gems. 🦞 Eagles Nest: Right before reaching Bar Harbor, we got takeout lobster rolls here. The rolls were stuffed with tons of lobster meat, and the bread was crispy—so delicious! Day 3️⃣ A Full Day in Acadia 📍 Sand Beach / Ocean Path: We visited both, but the Ocean Path is more worth it! The ocean views are stunning, and parking is more convenient too. 📍 Otter Cliff: The sea by the cliff is a deeper shade of blue—so striking against the rocks. 📍 Cadillac Mountain: Must reserve a time slot in advance! The wind at the top is strong, but the panoramic views from up there are totally unique. 📍 Jordan Pond: The star of our photos! It has a beautiful trail, but we were short on time and tired, so we just took some pictures and moved on. 🦞 Beal’s Lobster Pier: Pick out a huge live lobster on the spot—they cook it fresh, and dipping it in butter is so fragrant! The drive to get here also has some beautiful scenic spots. 🦞 Galyn‘s: Back in Bar Harbor that evening, we ate here—their lobster rice was amazing, and the best part? No need to peel the lobster yourself! 🍨 Jordan Pond Ice Cream: Don’t miss their blueberry ice cream! It’s packed with blueberry bits—so good we ate it two days in a row! 🌄 Agamont Park: After getting ice cream, head to this park to watch the sunset—it’s so chill and peaceful. Day 4️⃣ Drive Back to Portland & Fly Home Had such a great trip! #NYCSurroundings #MaineTravel #AcadiaFood #PortlandGuide #MaineLobster #BlueberryIceCream #NewYork #NYCLife #PortlandMaine
