Maine Is So Fun—A Week Isn’t Nearly Enough!
This year, for my birthday and our 10th wedding anniversary, I told my husband, “Maine is on my bucket list”—so we didn’t hesitate to pick Maine for our vacation! 🎂💍 Luck was on our side: we hit perfect weather at the end of October. The sea was calm and crystal blue, and the mountains were painted in vibrant shades of red, orange, yellow, and green—truly breathtaking! 🌊🍂 Maine’s lobsters were a total highlight too—only $10 per pound! Every day, we’d head to the dock to buy the biggest, freshest lobsters straight from the boats. There’s nothing like cracking into a juicy, sweet lobster that was in the ocean just hours before 🦞. The rocky shores were my favorite part, though! As soon as the tide went out, we’d scramble over the rocks to hunt for sea treasures—crabs scuttling around, conchs tucked in crevices, mussels clinging to stones, tiny shrimp darting about, and even small oysters. I could stay out there playing until it got so dark I could barely see—pure childhood joy! 🦀 Our rental cottage was amazing too—it sat right on the rocky shore. We’d wake up to sunrise views through the window, and spend afternoons sitting on the balcony, letting the sea breeze ruffle our hair. It felt like a little slice of paradise 🏡. Acadia National Park was incredible, but one day was way too short to explore it all. We barely scratched the surface of its trails and viewpoints. I’m already planning to come back someday with more time—next time, I want to soak up every bit of Maine’s beauty! Here’s to more adventures in this coastal gem—Maine, I’ll be back! ❤️ #MaineTravel #10thWeddingAnniversary #BirthdayVacation #AcadiaNationalPark #MaineLobster #CoastalGetaway #USA
