Malaysian restruant in New York--West New Malaysia

—————— 🔆 Restaurant Name: West New Malaysia Their cuisine is similar to the Nyonya I recommended before, but there are two dishes I absolutely love. Sarang Burong - Crispy Taro Bowl 🥙 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The base is a thick layer of taro mud shaped into a bowl, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a dense and sweet flavor. The fillings are incredibly rich, including chicken, shrimp balls, mushrooms, and celery. The combination of savory and sweet is addictive. Salted Egg Shrimp Balls 🦐 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tender and elastic prawns coated with a thin layer of batter, deep-fried to a crispy finish, and paired with a rich and savory salted egg yolk sauce is simply the best. 💕 I couldn't stop picking at them from the table and eventually felt embarrassed for continuously reaching out with my chopsticks, haha. —————— All their dishes with curry elements are delicious! Such as Indian bread with yellow curry chicken, satay beef/chicken, rendang beef, curry laksa, and more. The Hainanese chicken is also tender, but Nyonya still outshines it (for details, see my previous notes). Malaysian cuisine lovers should not miss this place. —————— 🔆West New Malaysia 📍46-48, Bowery, New York, NY 10013 #West New Malaysia#New York#food diary#Malaysian cuisine
