Maldives Sharing: Highly Recommend Centara Grand Island and My Travel Agent!! I went to the Maldives in May~ After choosing islands for a long time, I finally booked Centara Grand Island 🏝️ Room type: 2 nights in a duplex beach villa + 2 nights in a club sunset overwater villa with a pool 🏊♂️ It's an all-inclusive package, and the island is a quasi-five-star resort ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Price: Over 12,000 RMB per adult 💰 Our trip was for two adults, and we spent five days and four nights on the island in a very relaxed and laid-back way, enjoying a "lie-flat" vacation 🛌 The all-inclusive package includes one activity: either snorkeling with manta rays or a sunset cruise (choose one). I chose the sunset cruise, which is a boat trip in the evening to watch the beautiful sunset over the sea 🌇. Sipping champagne on board was really romantic 💖 There are four restaurants with different styles on the island: a buffet restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a teppanyaki restaurant, and a Thai restaurant 🍽️. Before going, travel guides recommended that the Thai restaurant was the most worth trying. Sure enough, my "Chinese stomach" was completely conquered by it – the taste was authentic and to my liking, every dish was a surprise on the tip of the tongue 👅, and all the ordered dishes were eaten up. It can be called the most amazing taste experience of this trip! Snorkeling time: Morning is the best for snorkeling 🌞 🤿 Recommended snorkeling spots: For beginners, go down from the front of the overwater villa, which is a shallow water area, to get used to and learn first. Then go down the stairs behind the diving center to the deep water area, where there are fish 🐠🐟. It is recommended to find a dive guide in the deep water area; 20-50 USD is enough. Safety first 🛟 Diving equipment: Strongly recommend buying a full-face snorkel mask, which allows you to breathe directly through your nose, super convenient! My husband insisted on choosing a half-mask with a snorkel, which only allows breathing through the mouth, and he kept choking on seawater. It was simply torture 😂 For snorkeling socks, 2mm thickness is enough. You must wear long-sleeved tops and long pants, otherwise you'll get sunburned and peel in no time! ☀️ The thin long-sleeved surf suits we bought were very suitable. The seawater is warm at this time of the year, so wearing this is just right~ If you go when it's cold, Remember to prepare a pair of gloves. We didn't buy any, and as a result, our hands got tanned 😭 Don't use fancy equipment for underwater photography. A waterproof phone case bought on Taobao for more than 100 RMB is enough. The shooting effect is great, and the cost performance is amazing! 📸 Essential list before traveling: ✓ Medicine preparation: Mosquito repellent, stomach medicine, Banlangen (a Chinese herbal medicine), ibuprofen. Although I didn't use any of them during the whole trip (and wasn't bitten by mosquitoes), it's more reassuring to have them on hand~ 🩹 ✓ Disposable underwear: A must for lazy people! It's super convenient to change one every day 🧻 ✓ Clothing and accessories: A big straw hat is a must! It's great for taking photos and sun protection; it's highly recommended to rent or bring a GoPro, which is perfect for taking pictures of the underwater world when snorkeling! 🎥 ✓ One pair of slippers is enough! Walking barefoot in the sand villa on the island feels great, and most people do that~ 👣 ✓ Network tips: WiFi covers the entire island, but the signal in downtown Male is weak, and hotels have internet; it's recommended to buy international roaming in advance 📶 ✨ Real experience sharing: Five days and four nights are simply not enough! Although Centara Grand Island is not a 6-7 star luxury resort, and the rooms are not super large or in a popular internet style, it's comfortable to live in. The key is that the cost performance of snorkeling here is amazing!
