Maldives trip diary--Madifushi island

🩵Living in a flatland city, I have always longed for the sea of the Maldives, and this time I arranged a trip for my honeymoon! Since I wanted to fit a direct flight, I chose to stay in the Maldives for 8 days. However, staying on a resort island for 8 days was too expensive 😇, so my agent recommended a combination of a local island and a resort island. If you don't have high accommodation requirements, I strongly suggest you definitely visit a local island! 👍 ✈️ There are direct flights from Chengdu to the Maldives. We booked our tickets 2.5 months in advance, and the price was slightly higher than last-minute fares, for a round-trip in economy class. 💰 ✨Maafushi 🇲🇻 From the airport to Maafushi, we took a speedboat to the island. There are boats running until around 10 p.m., so there's no need to stay in Malé; you can go directly to the island. We stayed at Arena and chose the best room type available, but overall it felt more like a budget hotel with a sea view. 🌟We participated in almost all the snorkeling activities on Maafushi, and the prices were much cheaper compared to the resort islands. The service from the local staff was also very good.
