We returned to Male Airport from Maafushi, and the island is just a 15-minute speedboat ride away from the airport 🚤. This time, we booked a 5-day, 4-night stay in a standard beach bungalow with HB (half-board: breakfast and dinner), including transportation and taxes. 💰 Highlight: It cost around 6,000+ RMB per person. What more could you ask for? The key perk: Two children under 11.99 years old get free accommodation, meals, and transportation—completely free! The island is known for its vast lagoon, though snorkeling conditions are average 🤿. That’s why we opted for a beach bungalow: step out the door and you’re on the sand, which is super safe for kids! On sunny days, the lagoon shimmers in a stunning Tiffany blue, like glassy seawater 🦈. This lagoon blue even outshines many 6-star islands 🌟! Another plus: SAii Lagoon is connected to two other islands 🏝️—two resort islands (SAii Lagoon + Hard Rock Hotel) and one commercial island. Guests can access facilities across both resorts, with 10 restaurants to choose from. There’s plenty to do, so you’ll never feel bored—it’s incredibly family-friendly! The service is excellent too. While there’s no dedicated butler, the staff are all friendly. SAii has its own app where you can send messages (in Chinese!) for requests like buggy rides or restaurant bookings. Responses are almost instant—I even thought it was AI! It’s really convenient.
