Manaus "Pink Dolphins" / Amazon Theatre / Night Crocodile Spotting🐬🎭

Cruise ships usually stay overnight in Manaus, and our first tour activity was "swimming with pink dolphins"—just the name alone was exciting enough! Booking through the cruise company had obvious perks: the speedboat was parked right by the dock waiting for us. As soon as we got off the big ship, we could turn around and board the speedboat without our feet touching the ground. The boat was brand new, and they thoughtfully provided iced bottled water. The passenger capacity was also controlled below 80%, so we sat comfortably without the awkwardness of being squeezed like sardines😌. We caught a glimpse of a pink dolphin in the Boca Da Valeria River. Its pink figure flashed in the water, but unfortunately, it was as shy as a stranger, fleeting, and we didn't even have time to aim the camera before it was gone. Later, we found out that the dolphins often seen by tour groups have long been "tamed" by the Amazon residents—they're not afraid of people, and as long as they smell fishy, they'll "whoosh" out of the water, just like a group of little gluttons waiting for food. In the afternoon, we didn't dare to delay and walked from the dock to the Amazon Theatre. We just caught the 4 o'clock tour group, and the ticket was 20 reais, which wasn't expensive. This tour group couldn't be booked online. Last time we came to Manaus, we didn't get in because we didn't get the timing right, but this time we finally made up for the regret✨. The moment we pushed open the theatre door, we weren't disappointed: the carved columns, the gilded decorations, the light coming through the stained glass, and even the air was filled with the solemnity of old times. It really is a "little Europe" hidden in the Amazon rainforest. In the evening, we dived into the night tour to spot crocodiles in the Amazon rainforest—slowly cruising on the pitch-black deep river is an experience we'll never forget. The river was as black as unblended ink, with only the bow light illuminating a small area of water. It was so quiet around that we could hear our own heartbeat, and occasionally there were calls of unknown birds, adding a layer of mystery. On the way, we suddenly caught sight of a mysterious pink color flashing continuously on the horizon, flickering on and off. Could it be that in the Amazon, even lightning⚡️ has taken on the romance here and secretly turned pink? Fresh Brazilian nuts are crisp and sweet with a natural flavor, much tastier than the dried fruits bought at Costco. We couldn't stop chewing them😋. The inspectors in the store were also interesting—their appearance and posture vaguely reminded people of the salesmen seen in Shanghai's Huaihai Road stores when they were children, which was inexplicably cordial. #BrazilAmazon #AmazonRainforest #AmazonNightTour #GlobalCruise #ManausTravel #PinkDolphins
