McKinney Museum Trip
🩷We signed up for a free museum membership and visited the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney, a suburb of Dallas. This museum features both indoor and outdoor exhibits. Indoors, you'll find displays of local wildlife and aquatic creatures, with a focus on snakes, dinosaur fossils, and owls. 🥰Outdoors, there are several walking trails, a small zoo, a butterfly garden, an owl observation trail, and life-sized dinosaur statues. Although it's a relatively small local museum, it's perfect for a leisurely free visit! Additional Highlights: ✨The museum offers interactive exhibits like fossil digging and live animal encounters ✨Seasonal events include butterfly releases and night hikes ✨Well-maintained picnic areas surrounded by native Texas flora ✨Accessible pathways suitable for strollers and wheelchairs Visitor Tips: ✔️Bring water and wear comfortable shoes for exploring the trails ✔️Download their app for a self-guided tour map ✔️Check their website for special free admission days Fun Fact: The museum sits on a 289-acre wildlife sanctuary, protecting native Texas habitats! #McKinney#travelguide#Museum#McKinneyguide
