Menara Gardens π³ποΈβ¨
After enjoying a delightful lunch filled with local flavors π½οΈ, we eagerly set off on our next adventure and first headed to the enchanting Menara Gardens.π ποΈNestled in the western part of Marrakech, right at the majestic entrance of the Atlas Mountains , the Menara Gardens hold a rich history that dates back centuries. These splendid gardens were commissioned by the wise and powerful Almoravid ruler Abd al - Mu'min in the year 1130 AD π. πAs we stepped into the gardens, a breathtaking sight greeted us. The centerpiece of the Menara Gardens is undoubtedly a massive, serene water basin π§π. This large expanse of water reflects the clear blue skies above and the surrounding lush greenery, creating a picture - perfect scene that seems straight out of a fairy tale. Adjacent to this grand water basin stands a small yet charming building ποΈπ. πIt's a structure that exudes a sense of quiet elegance. And what truly makes it stand out is the green, small pyramid - shaped roof perched on top of it. This unique dome design is not just for show; in the local dialect, this type of dome is affectionately called "menzeh" ππΊ. It's from this distinctive feature that the Menara Gardens derived their evocative name, adding a touch of local cultural charm to the entire place. The gardens themselves are a haven of tranquility, with neatly arranged pathways winding through rows of palm trees π΄π΄ and other exotic plants. The air is filled with the sweet scent of flowers πΈπΊ, and the gentle breeze rustling through the leaves creates a soothing symphony. It's a perfect spot to relax, take a leisurely stroll, and soak in the beauty of nature and history combined. #Travel #BeautifulSceneryOnTheJourney #Architecture
