Mental Retreat 🏘 Countryside Life 🌊🌺

🌸🍃Departing from Nagoya, a 2.5-hour drive brought us to Shirakawa-go Gassho Village. With its flowing streams and wooden cabins, it has a bit of the charm of Hemu Village. 🌿 🏘 The difference lies in the construction of the wooden houses. After 5 PM, the village no longer provides parking as the villagers need to rest. 🌟 🏃‍♂️ A walk around the village takes about 2 hours. There is an observation point at a higher elevation, which is actually a parking lot. 🎢🌟The slope is gentle, and it’s easier to go up and down the same way. However, my stubborn kid insisted on taking a different path, which led us to stairs and eventually getting lost on the way down. 🥹 📸 We made use of the fish food we didn’t finish at Mount Fuji 🗻. There are plenty of ponds and canals here, and lots of fish to feed, which was quite relaxing. 🐟 🍮 We saw many people lining up at a pudding shop but didn’t join the crowd. If anyone has tried it, please let us know how it is! 🌿 🌇🌿The village is open and free of charge. Visiting in winter to see the snow-covered houses is also beautiful. ❄️ #NatureSceneryShare #HealingTravel 🌿🌟
