Spent the most effortlessly delightful day here—Metz is made for slow exploration! 🌞 Cathedral Light Show Visited Saint-Étienne Cathedral 3 TIMES (morning/noon/evening) just to see how the sunlight transformed its stained-glass kaleidoscope 🌈. Verdict: The most breathtaking windows & ceilings I’ve ever seen—no contest. 🍷 Nightlife Surprise Kids got bored and retreated upstairs 😴, but we bar-hopped till midnight! Shockingly vibrant for France—every pub and bistro was packed with live music and clinking glasses (way livelier than Germany!). 🍜 Food Hit & Miss Avoid "Su Xi" on the pedestrian street: €8 "Five-Spice Duck" = a sad sprinkle of meat on a tiny plate 🦆💔 Mini buns with thick dough & no filling (4 buns < 1 proper homemade one) Stick to French brasseries—Metz’s choucroute and local wines won’t disappoint! 🌟 Why Metz?
