Mexico Cruise - Day 7 Mazatlán

What a packed day! 🌟 We hiked mountains, walked a glass bridge, watched cliff divers, sampled local food, visited a cathedral and theater, fed pigeons, and ended with delicious ice cream - a perfect day! The glass bridge with thousands of 4.5🌟 Google reviews...oh the struggle! 😅 We imagined a bridge extending over the ocean, but surprise - it's on a mountain top! 🏔️ Talk about being "too simple, too naive!" The hike's scenic views do deserve 4.5 stars though - stunning enough to justify the sweat. 💦 The bridge itself is short with timed 10-minute photo sessions per group (PS: Shoes off - wear hole-free socks!). The round trip took 2+ hours with kids; sans kids, maybe 1 hour. At The Diver cliff jumping spot, brave souls leap into the sea. 🏊♂️ The $3 coconuts here are wonderfully sweet - after drinking, vendors scrape out the meat with salt and lime (for adventurous palates!). We stocked up after overpaying at another port. Our Uber lunch recommendation went hilariously wrong...🤦♀️ Whether due to language barriers or miscommunication, the driver dropped us at a downtown market's "food court" upstairs. The kitchen conditions made me weep internally, but my partner insisted on authentic local fare. I reluctantly ordered tacos in solidarity, while our eldest refused to eat, scowling at the surroundings...until hunger won and he stealth-grabbed a fry when we weren't looking! 😂 Mazatlán's famed old town dazzles with historic architecture. The Catedral Basilica de la Inmaculada Concepcion landmark faces the City Hall square, where our morning-saved bread found grateful pigeon recipients. 🕊️ Kids' joy = our joy. The Italian Opera House charmed with its elegant design - a white second-floor balcony framed by bougainvillea had me swooning. 💕 Nearby colorful buildings embodied perfect Mexican romantic vibes. A failed attempt to visit a "brewery" (Uber took us nowhere) wrapped our day.
