Miami’s Venezuelan 🇻🇪 Cuisine First Try

🐓 Francisca Charcoal Chicken & Meats 🐓 A Venezuelan chain restaurant in Miami 🍴 , it has a pretty high rating on Google Maps. As soon as I walked in, I was hit with a wave of Spanish. The server started speaking Spanish to me—I guess I don’t look like someone who speaks it? 😅 Their English was a bit rough, and they even asked where we were from, lol. 🌎🗣️ CHICHARRONES DON GUILLE Roasted pork belly—so good! 😋 No weird "North American pig" taste here. The skin was crispy, and the fat wasn’t greasy at all. My favorite dish! 🐖🔥 Parrillita Francisca A mixed grill platter—nothing special. The sausage was a bit salty and dry, and the sweet potato sides were a little dry too. 🍖🍠 Criolla Salad 🥗 First time trying heart of palm—it tasted like a softer version of bamboo shoots? Pretty tasty! The salad had a mild tangy flavor. 🌴🥗 Half Charcoal Chicken with Sides The sides were fried plantains 🍌 and white rice 🍚. The chicken was juicy but not as flavorful as I expected. 7/10. �🔥 Cocada Tasted like a coconut slushie 🥥—creamy and yummy! It was a huge cup, so finishing it was a bit of a challenge, lol. You could taste the shredded coconut bits—perfect for summer! Also tried the watermelon mojito, which was refreshing too. 🍉🍹 LAS AREPITAS DE TÍA MICA Charcoal-grilled cornbread 🌽—not very fragrant. Not my top recommendation. 🤷‍♀️ Their green sauce had cilantro bits, so I was slightly dying while eating this meal. 😅 Overall, I’d recommend giving it a try for a completely different flavor experience.
