Miami Spring Break|Fort Lauderdale Day Trip with Kids Edition 🌴👨👩
Can't believe no one has recommended MODS before!!! It stands for Museum of Discovery and Science , located in Fort Lauderdale (FL) , just a 30-minute drive from downtown Miami. 🚗💨 My kid was absolutely amazed by the Discovery Spot on our first visit—this area requires time-slot reservations (each session is 1.5 hours ). And guess what? There are endless ball pits !!! 🎪⚾️ Families boarding cruises at the nearby port should totally consider stopping here to let the kids burn off energy! 🔥 After the museum, it’s food time ! 🍽️ Fort Lauderdale actually has way more Chinese, Japanese, and Korean food options than Miami! This time, we checked out a hidden gem —Takato ! 🏮 It’s an Asian Fusion restaurant, but honestly, it blows all the local spots near us out of the water (no names mentioned 😆). We ordered kimchi fried rice , grilled Wagyu beef , duck bao , dragon roll , sweet potato mousse , and chicken fried rice for the kiddo—everything was DELICIOUS ! 😋❤️ The restaurant is inside the Conrad Hotel , right by the ocean —after eating, you can head straight to the beach ! 🏖️ And let me tell you, this beach is just as good as South Beach , if not better! In fact, many people skip Miami entirely and vacation in Fort Lauderdale instead—better food, better stays, better prices overall ! We went on a Sunday afternoon , and street parking wasn’t hard to find ($3/hour). 💰 A perfect spring break day —mission accomplished ! ✌️🎉 #SpringBreak #MiamiDayTrip #MiamiMuseums #Takato #HiddenGemEats #MiamiWithKids #MiamiBeaches #FortLauderdaleEats #MiamiTravelTips #OffTheBeatenPath 🌟🍣🏄♂️
