Mian โ A Noodle Spot with Surprisingly Amazing Fu Qi Fei Pian! ๐๐คฉ
Itโs been a while since my last visit. When they first opened, their noodles were hand-pulled โ but later, they switched to machine-pressed, and the texture just wasnโt the same. Thatโs why I stopped going for a time ๐. But recently, a friend insisted I try their Fu Qi Fei Pian (Coupleโs Beef Offal) โ and wow, it did NOT disappoint! ๐ ๐ฅข Fu Qi Fei Pian โ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Tender tripe, beef stomach, and thinly sliced beef with a bit of tendon โ the texture is fantastic! The seasoning is spot-on: aromatic, spicy, and slightly numbing. Totally addictive! Iโd come back just for this, even without ordering noodles ๐. ๐ Noodles โ Lamb & Clear Broth Beef Both were tasty! I usually go for the thinnest option (โMao Xiโ), though itโs not super fine. Portions are just right for one โ unlike Lucky Noodle, where one bowl can feed two. ๐ฅ Dumplings โ Just Okay Big and packed with dense, bouncy filling โ a bit too heavy for my taste. I prefer smaller, looser dumplings. ๐ฅ Rou Jia Mo (Chinese Burger) Better than the dumplings, but not as good as Luckyโs. The bread was a bit dense โ not fluffy enough โ though the filling was flavorful. ๐ฎ The decor is simple and Chinese-inspired, with a semi-open kitchen. Clean and casual โ perfect for a quick meal after work! At lunch, it can get busy, so you might need to wait a bit โณ. ๐ Mian Noodles A solid, homestyle spot for when youโre craving something real and comforting. #MianNoodles #SanAntonioEats #ChineseFood #FuQiFeiPan #NoodleLover #ComfortFoodSATX
