MIAN - San Antonio's Authentic Chinese Noodle Gem! 🍜✨

This Shanxi-style noodle restaurant is a relatively new addition to San Antonio's dining scene, and it came highly recommended. We had to check it out! The moment we sat down, we saw two young diners each devouring a full plate of Fu Qi Fei Pian (Couple's Beef Offal) 😲—no rice, no noodles, just pure enjoyment. That convinced us to order immediately! Here’s what we tried: 1️⃣ Fu Qi Fei Pian (Couple’s Beef Offal) 🥩 This appetizer was incredible—possibly the most flavorful version we’ve had in the U.S.! The restaurant uniquely mixes sliced beef and tripe with fermented bean paste, cilantro, and scallions. It’s pre-tossed to perfection, saving you the effort and maximizing the taste! If their other cold dishes are like this, we’re definitely trying the pig ear next time. 2️⃣ Lanzhou Beef Noodles 🍜 A true classic! The clear broth was rich and savory, the beef tender, and the herbs finely chopped. You can choose from three noodle thicknesses, and if you like spice, add a dash of their Chinese chili sauce. Top-tier authenticity! 3️⃣ Shanxi Lamb Noodles 🐑 Our absolute favorite! The lamb was aromatic, finely diced, and full of flavor. The broth was hearty and delicious. We even ordered a crispy baked sesame pancake, broke it into pieces, and soaked it in the lamb soup (see Pic 5!)—a game-changing combo that brought so much comfort and joy 😋. 4️⃣ Pork & Scallion Potstickers (To-Go) 🥟 We took these home, and though the filling was generous and tasty, they lost their crispiness. Best enjoyed fresh at the restaurant! 📍 Restaurant: Mian Noodles and Dumplings 🌟 Final Thoughts: Hands down, this is one of the most authentic Northwestern Chinese noodle spots we’ve tried in Texas. If you love hand-pulled noodles, don’t miss this place! We’re coming back for their roujiamo (Chinese burger) next time 🥙. #SanAntonioEats #MianNoodles #ChineseFood #TexasFoodie #AuthenticNoodles #FoodReview
