Michelin Glovers Alley | Truffle Heaven 🌟

🧾 Before coming to Ireland, I had already shortlisted several Michelin restaurants. 🕙 By chance, I managed to book a table at Glovers Alley in the city center. To be honest, the fine dining experiences I've had in recent years have been quite underwhelming. I even felt like my passion for fine dining had faded as I reached middle age. ❗️ But this lunch tasting, which I didn't have high expectations for, turned out to be full of surprises!! 💰 A four-course lunch for an average of €70 per person is really a great value for money. First, the complimentary foie gras mousse with protein puff and appetizer tower really set the tone. 🥖 Then came the bread basket to choose from. Their signature black olive and Parmesan bread is amazing!! Make sure to ask for unlimited refills!! 1⃣️ **First Course:** The seemingly ordinary large scallops were elevated with artichoke and vinegar sauce, creating an impressive depth of flavor! 2⃣️ **Second Course:** The combination of turbot, fennel, and lobster🦞 was perfectly balanced in texture and very comforting. 3⃣️ **Third Course:** The lamb was served with lettuce and an additional €15 upgrade to black truffle, which was absolutely mind-blowing! 💡 Thanks to the restaurant manager, I learned that it's the perfect season for black truffles. When the truffle, as big as a potato, was taken out of the box, the aroma was overwhelming. The adorable waiter even shaved a few extra slices for us – it was truly delicious! 🍴 In between, they added a small dessert made of honey and sheep's milk yogurt (as part of an environmental collaboration), which was very refreshing!! 4⃣️ **Fourth Course:** The white chocolate shell with fruit sorbet was just okay. Overall, it was an incredibly surprising dining experience (you can imagine how much I had been let down by fine dining before!). The service💁🏼 on that day was truly impeccable. I had a great time chatting with the restaurant manager from Malaysia and the waiter from Switzerland. I will definitely come back to try their classic seven-course tasting menu in the future! #IrishLife #IrishFood #IrishRestaurants #Michelin #MichelinRestaurant #MichelinOneStar #RestaurantReview #HiddenGem #DateRestaurant #Bread #IrishMichelin #DublinFood #IrishDublinFood #DublinFoodRecommendations #DublinMichelinRestaurant #BlackTruffle #FreshBlackTruffle
