Michelin Two-Star Indian Cuisine at Gymkhana in London

The Indian food here is absolutely fantastic, and itโ€™s especially hard to get a reservation for lunch. The difference between the lunch and tasting menu is minimal, and at ยฃ60, itโ€™s a great value for money. Managed to get off the waitlist and secure a spot a week ago. ๐ŸŽ‰ Aloo chaat is a Northern Indian snack, which is essentially fried potatoes with tamarind and yogurt, accompanied by various crispy chips and three types of sauces. Itโ€™s good for a taste, but can be a bit heavy if you eat too much. ๐ŸŸ Next up was the tikka, we chose both salmon and chicken. The flavors are traditional, but the grilling is spot on, especially the salmon, which I highly recommend. ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ— For the main course, we had chicken butter masala and kid goat methi keema. The butter chicken was incredibly smooth, with a unique blend of spices different from other restaurants. The goat was minced and slightly spicy, perfect for sandwiching in the small bread. ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿฅ™ For dessert, we ordered a fig rice pudding. Every dessert on the menu is a Western dessert with an Indian twist. However, the Indian spices in this rice pudding were a bit much for my taste. ๐Ÿฎ I especially recommend their drinks; the Gymkhana iced tea, mango lassi, and chai latte are all incredibly delicious and nothing like what youโ€™d find in other Indian restaurants. ๐Ÿน๐Ÿฅค #London #LondonFoodExploration #LondonFood #BritishCuisine #Michelin #MichelinRestaurant
