Milwaukee | How Good Must a Restaurant Be to Brave a -25°C Blizzard?

We’re talking about a real Milwaukee blizzard here—the kind of weather that makes you question all your life choices… ❄️😂 And yet, we still ventured out for a meal! (And yes, I was that person filming clips in the storm 📱🥶). Anyone willing to join you for food in this weather is definitely a keeper. 🍃 Atmosphere: We originally planned to go to a seafood spot, but they had no staff today (thanks to the snow…). So we braved the storm and walked to a nearby restaurant. About 15 minutes after sitting down, once I could feel my fingers again, I realized the decor looked super familiar… Turns out—it was Cooper’s Hawk! I’d been to their Chicago location before. 🧸 Drunk Shrimp ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our server highly recommended this appetizer—and they deserve a raise! 🍗🦐 The shrimp were perfectly seared with a crispy edge, served in a flavorful sauce that tasted like avocado mash with mustard, egg yolk, and a hint of alcohol. So good! 🧸 Ginger Salmon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Came with slightly sweet mashed potatoes 🥔 and a lightly dressed salad. The salmon itself was simple but well-cooked, with a subtle ginger glaze. Delicious all around! 🐙 Verdict: Highly recommend! The restaurant had only one chef and one server today due to the weather, but both food and service were still top-notch. After trying their amazing risotto last time, I can confirm—blind ordering works here. No regrets! 👍 #FoodDiary #MilwaukeeEats #MilwaukeeFood #USFoodScenes #BlizzardDining #Cooper’sHawk
