Milwaukee | How Good Must a Restaurant Be to Brave a -25°C Blizzard Fo
Milwaukee is hit by a massive snowstorm 🌨, and the weather is absolutely terrifying! Who else knows the struggle of holding up a phone 📱 to take videos in this freezing madness? 😂😂😂 Only true love (or true hunger) would make someone go out for a meal in weather like this! 🍃 Atmosphere: We originally planned to go to a seafood place, but they had no staff today (for obvious reasons 😅). So we braved the snow and walked to a nearby spot. About 15 minutes after sitting down, once we finally regained feeling in our fingers, we realized the decor looked super familiar… Turns out, it was Cooper’s Hawk! I’d been to one in Chicago before. 🧸 Drunk Shrimp ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our server highly recommended this appetizer—and they deserve a raise! 🍗 The shrimp were perfectly seared with a crispy exterior, and the sauce was deliciously unique—like a mix of avocado mash, mustard, egg yolk, and a hint of alcohol. Absolutely fantastic! 🧸 Ginger Salmon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The mashed potatoes 🥔 were lightly sweet, the salad dressing had a subtle sweetness too, and the salmon itself was simple but well-cooked with a mild ginger glaze. So good! 🐙 Final Thoughts: Highly recommend! Despite the crazy weather, the restaurant had only one chef and one server working—and both the food and service were still top-notch! After having an amazing risotto here last time, today’s blind order was again a total success—no regrets! 💯 #TravelFoodDiary #Milwaukee #MilwaukeeEats #MilwaukeeFoodGuide #USFoodFinds #USRestaurantReviews
