I never expected that booking a table at the 35th-floor lounge of the Mandarin Oriental would be so easy! On a sunny afternoon, having a high-altitude afternoon tea with friends is picture-perfect! 🌤️ Truffle Frite 🍟 So good... The thick-cut fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a Parmesan cheese and black truffle dip that’s insanely aromatic. 🍖 Baba au Rhum 🥭 Mango-flavored Rum Baba cake. The sponge cake is moist, with a delightful rum aftertaste and a tropical fruit aroma. 🍍 Palet d’Or 🍫 Chocolate Gold Coin Cake. With a chocolate glaze, rich ganache, and cocoa base, this cake has a strong dark chocolate flavor. It’s sweet and slightly savory, though it gets a bit too sweet by the end. The first few bites are amazing, though! 🍫 The French pastries are top-notch, and while the prices are a bit on the higher side, it’s understandable given the quality and the view. 🌟 Thanksgiving here would be perfect for watching the parade, though reservations might be tough to get.
