Mombasa is So Amazing I Have to Write About It! 🌍✨

The white sandy beaches in Mombasa are the BEST I’ve ever seen!!! 🏖️ I’ve been to the Maldives, Bali, Sri Lanka, the Red Sea, Sitges, and Phuket—so trust me, this ranking means something! 😍 🚆 Getting There: Nairobi to Mombasa by Train We took the train from Nairobi to Mombasa—5 hours, 1,500 KES (~$12) for second class. The security was INTENSE—armed guards, 4 security checks, and a sniffer dog! 🐾 The train is Chinese-built (just like the old-school green trains in China), but the views and vibe are 100% Kenya! Each carriage has helpful attendants in blue vests—so convenient! 🏝️ Staying in Diani Beach: Pure Paradise We stayed in Diani, where the sand is like powdered sugar—SO soft and white! The only downside? Tap water is salty 💧, but otherwise PERFECTION! Our hotel was near Ali Barbour’s Cave Restaurant—a MUST-VISIT! They only do two dinner seatings per night, so book early! 🕯️🍽️ 🌊 Ocean Adventures: Dolphins, Whales & More! You can do SO much here: Swim with wild dolphins 🐬 Spot humpback whales (seasonal) 🐋 Sea safari Jet skiing 🌊 Prices are fair, and you can negotiate—though I didn’t push too hard. Many locals struggle for basics like clean water, so I often left tips or didn’t take change. 💔 Travel isn’t just about fun—it’s about seeing the world as it is. #SwimWithDolphins #WhaleWatching #EthicalTravel #SupportLocalCommunities
