Moments Healed by the Snowy Mountains
The Most Beautiful Afternoon Tea in Banff Banff National Park, located in the Rocky Mountains of Canada, is a renowned tourist destination known for its magnificent natural scenery and abundant outdoor activities. In addition to outdoor adventures, visitors can also experience a unique afternoon tea culture at the resort hotels within the park. I genuinely recommend this distinctive experience because itβs rare to find such an elegant offering in U.S. national parks π This time, I booked the afternoon tea service at Fairview Bar & Restaurant in Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. You need to make a reservation through OpenTable in advance to secure a window seat, but since the hotel prioritizes its guests, I only got a seat a bit away from the window despite booking early (but it didnβt affect the photos I took π) The entire afternoon tea experience lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours and is fantastic π Especially the panoramic windows of the Lake Louise castle hotel that overlook the picturesque Lake Louise and the surrounding mountains. Whether itβs enjoying the snowy mountain and icy lake in winter or the lush green lake and blue sky in summer, the environment for afternoon tea here offers stunning views π π Afternoon Tea Menu The afternoon tea at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise maintains a classic English style, and the taste is excellent π plus, itβs visually appealing too π π Selected Savory Delights: Delicate mini sandwiches with common fillings like smoked salmon, cucumber cream cheese, ham with mustard, and egg salad. π Homemade Scones: Traditional English scones served with lemon curd, berry jam, and cream. The sweet, fluffy scones are an indispensable part of traditional afternoon tea. π Selected Sweets: High-quality French pastries such as macarons, lemon tarts, chocolate cakes, each delectable π π Tea Selection: The hotel offers a variety of high-quality teas to choose from, including traditional Earl Grey, green tea, herbal tea, and various specialty blends. π In addition to tea, the package also includes a glass of champagne or other alcohol (the specified package only offers one brand choice), but it can also be swapped for a non-alcoholic mocktail, which tastes quite good. π Itβs advisable to book afternoon tea in advance, especially during peak tourist seasons like summer and holidays. I went in early October, which is the off-peak season for autumn π π The afternoon tea selection may vary by season. We chose the $105 CAD per person champagne πΎ package, which was quite substantial, and we couldnβt finish it all, so it could easily replace lunch. #LivingInATownBelowTheSnowyMountains #WinterTravelFavorites
