We left New York in the morning and drove three hours—our first stop in Rhode Island was definitely this iconic lobster roll spot! There’s always a long line at the door, and we waited about 20 minutes to order 🕒. It’s a casual seafood shack by the road in the small town of Narragansett. The town is home to the famous Scarborough State Beach; driving along the coast here is a dream—think pretty ocean views, plus tiny villas and well-tended gardens everywhere. This time of year, hydrangeas are in full bloom everywhere you look 🌸. Now, let’s talk about the star: the lobster roll! It’s stuffed to the brim with tender lobster meat coated in a delicious sauce—bright red and totally mouthwatering 🤤. The portion is huge; I swear there’s almost a whole lobster in there! Take a bite, and the buttery toasted bun mixes perfectly with the sweet lobster meat—pure satisfaction in every bite 😋. They offer it cold or hot—we got the hot one, which was warm (not scalding), so the melted butter made the bun extra fragrant. One heads-up: the price has gone up. I saw reviews saying it used to be $23.99, but now it’s $27.99—with tax, it’s almost $30 💸. Besides the lobster roll, they also have seafood snacks like clam rolls, scallop rolls, and clam cakes. I tried a scallop roll, crab cakes, and fish and chips—but none of them came close to the lobster roll. The lobster roll was by far the best!
