Monet Enthusiasts, Are You There?
A Hidden Gem of a Museum in Paris That's Worth a Visit! 🖌️ 🏛️I've been in Paris for so long and didn't know about this museum, and I rarely hear people recommend it. When people think of viewing Monet's paintings, they usually head to the Musée de l'Orangerie, but few know that there's another place where you can see so many famous paintings! 🏛️The Musée Marmottan Monet, located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, France, houses over 300 impressionist and post-impressionist works. There's an entire floor dedicated to Monet's paintings, and the museum's prized possession is Monet's famous "Impression, Sunrise" (unfortunately, it was loaned out, so I missed seeing it this time, which was a pity). From October 17, 2024, to March 2, 2025, the museum will also feature a special exhibition on trompe-l'œil paintings, which are particularly interesting—so captivating that you can stand in front of a painting for a long time. I personally really enjoyed them! 🏛️Student tickets are only 10€, and regular tickets are 14.5€! It's recommended to arrange online in advance because the line for on-site ticket purchases can be quite long. Arriving up to 20 minutes late is not a problem, as ticket checks are not strict and they didn't pay much attention to our reservation time. The visit duration of 2-3 hours is more than enough, and there's a small garden outside that's perfect for taking a walk and chatting! Operating hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00-18:00 (no entry after 17:00) #Paris #ParisTravel #ParisMuseums #Museums #MonetGarden #MustVisitMuseums #LifeInParis
