Montreal's Affordable French Cuisine Gem πŸ‡«πŸ‡· Open Until 2 AM ⏰

Landed in Montreal at 9 PM, and the first thing I did was go eat at this super popular French "midnight snack"! It's really busy, still lined up at 11 PM πŸ₯Ί. Appetizer: πŸ™ Grilled octopus: Very tender, good sauce. Main Course: 🐀 Roasted quail with wild rice: One of the best quails I've ever had! The wild rice is very chewy, and the sauce is sweet but delicious. πŸ¦† Cuisse De Canard: Crispy skin, tender meat, super delicious! Similar to the quail, just choose one of the two. 🍀 Shrimp and chorizo risotto: Rich cheese flavor, smooth and flavorful, lots of shrimp and sausage, rich texture. 🌟 These next few dishes are also ordered more frequently, πŸ‰‘οΈ worth a try: 🍷 Andouillette sausage, red wine sauce. πŸ₯© Hanger steak with shallot butter and fries. πŸ§€οΈ Burrata & heirloom tomatoes. πŸ„ Risotto with chanterelle mushrooms. πŸ“ Scallop and strawberry ceviche. 🍨 The most popular desserts are puffs with ice cream, πŸ‹ lemon tarts! 🍹 My friend ordered a Shirley Temple, which is non-alcoholic and actually quite good! But I still prefer 🍷 white wine, which goes better with the duck leg. πŸ₯’ The pickled cucumber with the bread before the meal is delicious! The quality of the butter is also quite good, but the bread is average. ⚠️ It is recommended to book in advance (I called to make a reservation after landing, and it was still relatively easy to get after 11 PM). Google to book for 2 or fewer people, call for more than 2 people ~ Restaurant name: L'Express Address: 3927 Rue Saint Denis, Montreal, QC #Montreal #MontrealCuisine #DailyGourmet #MontrealTravelGuide #CanadianLife #NorthAmericanLife #CanadaTravel #MontrealEatDrinkPlay #FrenchCuisine #DuckLeg #Risotto #Canada
