I spent the morning debating whether to go to Kouign Amann or Billy J’ai Faim—then decided to grab takeout from one and eat at the other since they're so close! Kouign Amann (4.8⭐) vs. Billy (4.9⭐) – this time, Google reviews did NOT lie—both were AMAZING! 🥐 Kouign Amann 📍 316 Mont-Royal Ave E Bought their famous Kouign Amann (feared it’d sell out by afternoon). Mind-blowing! Like a fluffier, buttery, caramelized croissant—crispy when reheated. Regret not buying more! Croissant was also great (rich butter flavor), though not as epic as the Kouign Amann. 🍳 Billy, J’ai Faim! 📍 4269 Saint Denis St Tiny but adorable café (loved the decor & tableware!). 12PM = already packed (reservations recommended). Ordered Croque Monsieur (ham & cheese toastie) + duck egg 🧀🍞🥚—cheesy, eggy perfection! 💰 Price? Reasonable! Brunch ~$25 | Kouign Amann just $3 (!). ⚠️ Both close 2-3 days/week—check before going!
