Moreton Island, Brisbane 🐬

A 3-Day, 2-Night Adventure for Office Workers We, a bunch of office workers, mustered up the courage to squeeze in a 3-day, 2-night trip to Moreton Island in Brisbane. Though the island is small, it’s big enough to make your legs ache from walking. After three days, we felt like our bodies were falling apart, but the joy was truly overflowing! Day 1: First Diving Experience & the "Heroic" 3-Kilometer Walk The first day kicked off with a tough start: we gritted our teeth and marched 3 kilometers to the shipwreck diving spot for a dive 🤿! The underwater world was absolutely amazing—sunlight filtered through the water, soft corals clung to the shipwreck remains, and schools of fish darted around us. Any nervousness was quickly swept away by the sense of novelty. But when we got out of the water, the sun was just setting. A gust of sea wind hit, and we instantly felt freezing, almost suffering from hypothermia 🄶! Winter in Brisbane is not to be underestimated— the water temperature was only 20°C, and without the sun, it was so cold we couldn’t stop shivering. Even wrapped in towels, we still huddled, suddenly realizing: you need to pack thick coats for winter trips to the island too! Day 2: Boat Adventure & the Birth of "Water Fear" We wised up on the second day and rented a motor boat straight away! After a quick on-site lesson from the instructor, we actually dared to drive it alone to the shipwreck, even taking a few proud photos along the way šŸ“ø. But we got carried away and swam too far, only to be "rescued" by a safety officer on a jet ski—embarrassing enough to make us want to hide under the sea! To make matters worse, on the way back—we were too weak to start the engine no matter how hard we tried. In the end, we had to ask the safety officer for help again. By the time we got back to our room, we collapsed on the bed, exhausted. One of us (Mr. Hu) declared on the spot: "I’ll never do any water-related activities again!" But our diving luck was incredible! On the first day, we spotted a carpet shark (locally called "wobbe"), which was much bigger than I imagined. My heart raced when it swam past slowly. The second day was even better—we encountered a sea turtle and a spotted eagle ray alone. They just drifted gently in the water, like bumping into old "acquaintances" in the oceanļ½ž Day 3: Double Joy with ATV & Helicopter On the morning of the last day, we tried the all-terrain vehicle (ATV)! The desert section at first was a bit boring; gripping the handlebars made our hands ache from the,and we almost gave up— but when we reached the beach section, we were completely stunned by the beauty! The wheels rolled over the sand, the sea wind blew waves towards us, and there was endless blue on both sides. We twisted the throttle and charged forward, so excited we wanted to scream! Right after getting off the ATV, we hopped onto a helicopter— and we were so lucky! Shortly after takeoff, we saw a rainbow 🌈. The rainbow arched over the sea, with the curving coastline and white sand beaches below. The whole outline of the island was clearly visible. It turns out Moreton Island looks like this from the air— like a green gem softened by the sea, so beautiful it left us speechless! At that moment, we fully understood: this island must be seen from the air to be truly appreciated! #HappinessComesFromDiving #LifeAdviceGoToAnIsland
