Morocco 8D7N Itinerary by a Type-J Planner
A French student’s unfiltered travel diary—honest reviews included! Route: Marrakech (arrival) → Ouarzazate → Todgha Gorge → Sahara Desert → Fes → Ifrane → Chefchaouen → Casablanca → Marrakech (departure) ⭐️ Brutally Honest Attraction Reviews 1️⃣ Marrakech Jardin Majorelle: 10/10! YSL’s iconic blue-and-cactus paradise—the best color combo I’ve ever seen. Medina & Jemaa el-Fnaa: 7/10. Vibrant but chaotic—watch for pickpockets and sketchy food stalls. 2️⃣ Ouarzazate Atlas Film Studio: 3/10. Just a meh movie set—skip unless you’re a die-hard Game of Thrones fan. 3️⃣ Todgha Gorge 9/10. Towering red cliffs = epic photos. Short but sweet stop! 4️⃣ Sahara Desert (Merzouga) 8/10. Camel rides and dune sunsets are magical, but the "luxury camp" was basic. Pack a scarf for sandstorms! 5️⃣ Fes Fes Medina: 9/10. Enter via the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), explore the Chouara tanneries (smelly but fascinating), and haggle for leather goods. Best with a guide—it’s a maze! 6️⃣ Ifrane 4/10. “Morocco’s Switzerland” is just… a clean town? Spent 45 mins and left. 7️⃣ Chefchaouen 11/10!! Start at the Spanish Mosque viewpoint, then wander downhill—every blue alley is Instagram gold. 8️⃣ Casablanca Hassan II Mosque: 9/10. Oceanfront + partly built over water—architectural masterpiece. 🏨 Accommodation Tips Desert camps: Book ones with private bathrooms (trust me). Riads: Fes and Marrakech have gorgeous ones—avoid ground floors (noisy!). #MoroccoTravel #NoFilter #DesertVibes
