MTL Weekend Escape from the City ☁️ A Great Place with Beautiful Mount
📍Sutton! I ❤️ Sutton! Love Sutton so much! Highly recommend it if you’re planning a weekend trip! ✨ Tons of options: mountains, water, a small town, beaches, restaurants, and wineries! ⛰️ The roads are in great condition, and the scenery along the mountain drive is absolutely stunning 🤩 🧑🤝🧑 Locals are friendly and can communicate in both English and French. 👍 Perfect for a short weekend getaway to get close to nature and slow down: swim, hike, walk, bike, or just relax in the town doing nothing. Mont Owl's Head There are many mountains around Sutton with hiking trails of various difficulties. We chose Mont Owl this time. It’s a ski resort in winter, where Quebec’s Olympic athletes also train ⛷️ In summer, you can hike 🧗♀️ The top of the mountain overlooks a large lake 💦, and the climb is slightly steep. Sutton Town We went on a Saturday and happened to catch a flea market—bought honey and tried pizza 🍕 The town is small but tidy, with many small shops: clothing, accessories, and bookstores. There are also lots of restaurants, cafes, and little bars 🥂 Each shop has its own style, clean and full of artistic vibes. There are also many old houses from the New France period. Vignoble Domaine Girouard Winery 🍷 Being in the south, there are many local Quebec wineries near Sutton—just search on Google and you’ll find plenty of choices. 🍇 DG is a relatively young one. The view is amazing, with mountain views all around. Not many people, just very relaxing. You can bring your own food, taste wine, have a picnic, and soak up the sun.🌞 After getting a little tipsy, run wild in the vineyard 🏃 Plage Douglass A lakeside beach 🏖️ You can sunbathe, swim, and have a picnic 🌞 There are many beautiful big houses along the road by the lake 🏠 Knowlton A small town near Sutton, tiny but exquisite If you’re around Montreal, you must go once—it’ll be even more beautiful in autumn!🌈🌈🌈🌈 #CanadaTravel#QuebecTravel#PerfectLongWeekend
