Munich | The Church at Königssee Leaves You Breathless! 🏞️💫

When you visit Munich, I highly recommend taking a day trip to the surroundings. Neuschwanstein Castle is a popular choice, as it is the prototype for Disney's castle. However, I'm more drawn to the beautifully flamboyant Disney dream castle adorned with a bow. 🏰✨ Another place I highly recommend is Königssee. Located at the southeastern end of Bavaria, close to the border between Germany and Austria, Königssee has only allowed the operation of electric or rowing boats since 1909. The lake water is incredibly clear, earning it the nickname "the Jiuzhaigou of Germany." The red onion-domed church is the St. Bartholoma Monastery. It takes about 35 minutes by boat to reach the church. 🚣‍♂️🛥️ The name is said to originate from a dark German fairy tale. Legend has it that there was once a king who was both tyrannical and a scoundrel, making life for his subjects miserable and difficult. Eventually, this angered God, who, in a fit of rage, turned the king, queen, and their seven children into mountains and rugged cliffs. They now stand by the lake every day, protecting the people below and enduring the pointing and prodding of tourists as a cruel punishment. 🏞️👑 It turns out that people really do need to let their minds wander in places without ceilings. Staying in concrete jungles for too long can indeed make it harder to find happiness. 🌳🌃 🚗 It's about 2-2.5 hours away from Munich. #KOnIgssee #Munich #Germany #OffTheBeatenPath #LiveLifeTheWayYouLike #HappyAdults #CaptureJoyfulMoments
