Munich → St. Wolfgang Lake Tour 🇦🇹

During the May holiday, I visited Austria’s lake district. The weather forecast predicted heavy rain, so my expectations were low—but surprise! The first day was sunny! 🌞 🚆 Transportation Used Germany’s 49€ monthly pass to take BRB RE5 from Munich to Salzburg. At Salzburg station, bought the Freizeit-Ticket (€19.90 for two people) and took Bus 150 to St. Wolfgang. The Freizeit-Ticket is a lifesaver—it covers almost all regional transport in Austria’s lake area! ⛴️ Boat Tour Got off at St. Gilgen and bought a round-trip boat ticket (€27/person) with optional stops. Hopped off at St. Wolfgang Markt—a charming lakeside town with delicious (and affordable!) fried chicken. For hikers: Strobl has a scenic lakeside boardwalk—perfect for a stroll! ⏳ Trip Duration Day trip from Munich is doable, but if you want to explore Salzburg, consider a 2-day, 1-night stay. #StWolfgang #MunichDayTrip #EuropeTravel #AustriaTravel #StudyAbroadAdventures
