Must-Eat in Hawaii! Monkeypod Restaurant
Must-Eat in Hawaii! Monkeypod Restaurant: 2nd Visit, Still No Letdown – Mai Tai + Macadamia Nut-Crusted Fish = Pure Joy 🍹 As “island lovers” who dream of visiting Hawaii every year, our standards for restaurants have long been high – but Monkeypod Restaurant has us willingly coming back for a second time, and we’re already looking forward to a third right after finishing our meal! From its signature Mai Tai cocktails and taste-bud-tingling macadamia nut-crusted fish to the relaxing atmosphere that makes you never want to leave, every detail hits the “happiness spot” of an island vacation. This time, we even met Stacey, an incredibly thoughtful server, who took our experience to perfection. We absolutely have to recommend it to anyone heading to Hawaii! 🌴 Still Charmed on the 2nd Visit! Monkeypod’s Atmosphere Exudes “Island Relaxation” Our first visit to Monkeypod was a friend’s hard sell, but this second trip was purely because we “actively missed it” – the restaurant is tucked away in a lively yet not chaotic neighborhood in Hawaii. Push open the door, and you’re instantly surrounded by tropical vibes: colorful lanterns hang from the wooden ceiling, surfboards and island-style paintings decorate the walls, and the outdoor seating area is filled with bougainvillea and palm trees. When the wind blows, you can hear the rustle of leaves, and the air is filled with a faint scent of cocktails and roasted nuts 🥥! 🍹 First, the Mai Tai! No Wonder It’s Popular Across Hawaii – Fall in Love with One Sip! The first thing we did after sitting down was order Monkeypod’s signature Mai Tai cocktail! There’s a good reason it’s popular all over Hawaii – the amber-colored drink has a lime slice floating in it, and the rim of the glass is coated with a layer of fine salt. As soon as it was served, we could smell the rich rum and pineapple aromas. It was a hit both in looks and scent~ 🥜 Next, the Main Course: Macadamia Nut-Crusted Fish – So Fresh It Makes You Dance, a Surprise in Every Bite! The macadamia nut-crusted fish that Stacey highly recommended didn’t just meet our expectations – it exceeded them! The portion was huge, covering the entire plate. The fish was coated in a layer of crushed macadamia nuts, roasted to a golden, crispy finish. A light tap with a fork made a “crunch” sound, but the fish inside was so tender that it easily flaked apart with a fork. It was still steaming hot, and its aroma wafted straight to our noses~ 🥚 Must-Try Appetizer: Lobster Deviled Eggs – Pop One in Your Mouth, Can’t Stop! If you’re hungry and want a little something to start, the lobster deviled eggs are a must! Hard-boiled eggs are cut in half, and the yolks are mixed with fresh lobster meat and cream sauce, then sprinkled with a little chives and red pepper #MaiTais#MacadamiaNuts#MonkeypodRestaurant#HawaiiFood#IslandVacationMustEat#MacadamiaNutCrustedFish#LobsterDeviledEggs#HawaiiEats#IslandCocktails#TravelDelights
