Must-See Karesansui Garden π
π’πThe Gyokudo Art Museum was built in memory of the Japanese painting master, Kawabata Gyokudo. The museum not only houses a collection of famous paintings but also features a beautifully landscaped karesansui (dry landscape) garden. πΏπ This garden has been selected as one of the twenty most beautiful gardens in Japan by an American magazine specializing in Japanese gardens, "The Journal of Japanese Gardening." The karesansui garden of the Gyokudo Art Museum is located at the north end of the building, close to the Tama River. π’π It is a flat-style karesansui garden, very similar in style to the stone garden of Ryoan-ji Temple. The garden is covered with white sand and features variously shaped rocks. πΏπ The arrangement, dispersion, distance, and undulation of the rock groups all contain profound Zen or philosophical meanings, inviting people to perceive and understand them with their hearts. π’π #JapanTravel #KaresansuiGarden πΏπ
