Must-Visit Art Museum in The Hague! πΌοΈβ¨
Giant Sculptures & Science-Inspired Installations ππ¬ This private art museum is definitely worth a visit! Itβs super popular on social media, especially for its famous pool installation. But what really stands out is the design of the exhibition space itself, letting in lots of natural light and creating a feeling of being surrounded by nature in most areas. πΏβοΈ For the next few months, there are two main exhibitions: πͺ1. πΉππ π΄ππππ Ron Mueckβs sculptures are known for their hyper-realistic, expressive details at a larger-than-life scale. His piece ππ» ππ²π± (2005) was the most comfortable sculpture for me to look at in this exhibition; some of the others were a bit unsettling for me π, so I quickly moved on to the next exhibit. πͺ2. πͺππππ πΎπππππ The second exhibit really exceeded my expectations! Many of the artworks here are inspired by optics, physics, and materials science. For example, thereβs a rainbow created through gas discharge. π My top piece of the whole trip was Void. From a distance, it looked like a simple hemisphere, but up close, it revealed a curved surface. Iβd love to write more about it in detail when I have a chance! #IntegrateArtIntoEveryday #SpatialInstallationArt #ContemporaryArt #Netherlands #DutchMuseums #MustVisitNetherlands #FiberArt
