Must-Visit Hidden Gem Japanese Dessert Shop in Las Vegas
Sweets Raku is one of my favorite dessert spots in Vegas! It specializes in exquisite Japanese-French pastries and frequently updates its menu. Located in the same Chinatown plaza as the famous izakaya Raku, it’s perfect for dinner at Raku first, followed by dessert next door 🍽️➡️🍰. Sweets Raku doesn’t take reservations, but after dinner at Raku, we walked right in without any wait. At the entrance, there’s a display fridge with gorgeous takeaway desserts, and a stunning floor-to-ceiling wine cabinet. Inside, you’ll find open counter seating and table areas in the back. We chose the counter seats for a full view of the pastry chefs at work! The menu changes often — this visit felt simpler than before, missing some of the show-stoppers like flaming chocolate or chocolate high heels, and paired drinks like milkshakes and smoothies were replaced with basic tea, coffee, and dessert wines. Sweets Raku Dessert Set — $18 I ordered the dessert set, which lets you pick one First Dessert and one Second Dessert (if you choose LUNA, there’s a $5 upcharge). 🍧 Mango Sorbet — My first dessert, topped with jelly and edible flowers — refreshing and tasty.😘😁 🍓 LUNA — My second pick, and the most popular item. Watched the chef assemble it right in front of me: layers of fresh strawberries, chocolate crunch, cream, mousse, brûléed custard, sugar-dusted and torched, topped with strawberry sorbet and a candy garnish. Comes with an edible candy spoon — you can eat it after finishing the dessert!👍💕 ⛰️ Mt. Fuji — $15 A chestnut cake with soft sponge, chestnut cream, crunchy chestnut pieces, chocolate, and a side of Hennessy brandy ice cream (quite boozy!). 🍷 Pairing Wine — $7 Added a dessert wine pairing for Mt. Fuji — Sauternes, a French sweet wine that complemented the cake beautifully. #WeekendEats #Vegas #LasVegas #JapaneseDesserts #SweetsRaku #FoodieFinds #VegasSweets
